Pros: The Mission: So fulfilling. We are changing clinicians' lives every day and also improving the clinician-patient interaction. The testimonials we see bring me to tears. The Product: Constantly evolving and expanding in every direction. We are putting our users (clinicians) first and not just pandering to our buyers (hospital administrators), a dilemma I've seen my other health tech employers completely fail on. As a product-minded engineer, it's also great to work on a product that's seeing wide adoption. The Culture: This is my 5th health tech company in ~6 years, and those companies have ranged from super small startups to larger companies that were already acquired. But I think Abridge's culture and team are unique. There is transparency from the top about our strategy and position. Our executive team isn't filled with tech influencers and investors, but actual practicing physicians and academics on the cutting edge of ML research. There is a fluency of teamwork that means you can just get stuff done. Everyone is approachable and nice. It's a truly cohesive team. The Work: We're in a very nascent and competitive space, so the work is very fast-paced. Nevertheless, work-life balance is actually good. There are definitely deadlines when I need to push, but I've never felt weird about taking PTO or signing off at the end of the day. The work is also sooo interesting. So many problems to solve, and so many things to learn about from my brilliant coworkers. I love going to work every day.

Cons: Most roles are hybrid in SF or NYC, so not great if you're looking for remote. We just expanded the NYC office though! And going in has honestly been very productive for me. Wish they had more surrogacy benefits, but I hear HR is considering it.

Pros: - The Mission. We are improving healthcare by allowing doctors to be more efficient and attentive, and by giving patients more agency in their care. It's hard to find a company with a more important mission or a company that has this kind of leverage to improve things. - The People. Everyone here is aligned with the mission, and we feed off of each other's successes. I am continually amazed with the things that this team accomplishes regularly. - The Tech. It is truly state of the art. We are improving our tech as fast as the industry is moving. It is exciting to be a part of a team who is constantly monitoring the latest tech and exploring how it can be applied to our products. - The Culture. This is a high-trust team where we expect a lot from each other. Flexibility and respect are foremost in our interactions with each other, which is necessary for a high-trust and high-velocity team.

Cons: I wouldn't still be here if there were many cons. When things are not ideal for me, whether it be communication with others, work-life balance, or trouble with getting things done, I work with others to make the necessary changes. I've found management and other team members to always be supportive in this. We could never be as awesome of a team as we are if we are not always open to making Abridge a better place to work.

Pros: Great community, fast-paced culture, and a lot of intelligent people.

Cons: First intern class, so not very organized.
