They use Karat for the phone screen. I would not recommend even talking with this company because the entire Karat interview experience and the way they evaluate is 100% guided by AI.

Karat records the interview. They use AI to evaluate the answers, they use AI to evaluate the code, and the final hiring recommendation is also given by AI. The interviewer acts like a robot, asking what they were asked to do to give the "human" experience.

They ask random system design questions which they expect to be answered right away in one minute.

Even when your code may run and you have probably used the best data structure to solve it, you will be rejected because the AI evaluator will find lots of issues with your coding.

With such a hiring process, I wish the company good luck. With declining employee reviews, high attrition, and such interview processes, the company is going in the downward direction.
