The process began with a standard recruiter screen, followed by an hour-long technical screen.
After that, I progressed to a virtual onsite interview, which lasted approximately 6.5 hours. It was grueling, but I gave it my all.
A few days later, the recruiter contacted me. They informed me that I performed well in the interview and received positive feedback from all interviewers. However, they needed to confirm if an opening matched my background.
This led me to question why they would allow me to reach this advanced stage, after investing over 8 cumulative hours, if they weren't certain about a suitable position. This type of check is typically resolved during or before the initial recruiter screen, not at the end of the process.
It seems they didn't find a match. I'll never know for sure, as I was completely ghosted despite sending several follow-up emails.
I received an email notification from Greenhouse asking me to rate my interview experience with Box, which indicated I did not get the job. After all the time invested, it was disappointing that no one from the company reached out to inform me of their decision.
