Associate Software Engineer Interview Experience - United States

June 3, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Pretty easy phone screen, name matching practice as described.

On-site: 3 rounds, 1 hour each.

  • Refactoring exercise
  • Object-Oriented Design
  • Technical deep dive on your previous project.

The interviewer I had for refactoring was pretty awful; they did not even turn on their camera. The last round was with a manager, and he kept checking his phone.

If you do not have the interest to interview me, then don’t ask me to do an on-site in the first place. This is quite unprofessional and such a waste of my time.

Questions

Each round will ask you one question based on their five values. How did you make an effort to build a connection with someone?
