Process

I applied for the job on their career website and received a reply after two to three weeks.

Then there was an initial phone screening, about introductions, projects on the resume, and a five-year plan, etc. Nothing too serious.

Then a writing exam was taken in a local exam institute, including coding, aptitudes, and maths.

After three weeks, I was declined by the company.

Questions

All the questions from that exam seem never to have changed in recent years, which can be found on websites like CareerCup.com. Just do most of them.

Cons: - experience heavily depends on your assigned team lead and mentor, expectations vary widely - some interns are under-managed and do very little while others are held to high standards - extremely limited diversity, especially in software dev roles, basically zero female developers - Epic lags in innovation, for example they over-rely on LLMs and don't explore many other AI techniques

Pros: Your own office, excellent food, beautiful campus, product makes a difference in the world, very relaxed atmosphere

Cons: slow release of software, significant number of regular meetings, some technology used is rather old, brutal winter weather
