I received a message from a hiring manager at IBM. He mentioned that he selected me from thousands of resumes and would like to speak with me by phone. We then scheduled a phone interview for about half a week later.
The manager called and chatted with me for about half an hour. The conversation focused mainly on my past project experience, as listed on my resume. After that, he asked me to go to IBM SVL to meet their lead.
In SVL, I met their project lead and spoke for about half an hour. He introduced their project and asked me some questions about my experience that matched their project technology. What I recall is some technology related to JAVA, JBoss, and JMS. My answers regarding JBoss were not strong, and I suspect that's why I was rejected.
About half a week later, I received a rejection letter. I was a little surprised because I had spoken happily with the IBM representatives, and I hadn't even been asked to a technical interview yet.
Tell me about your experience using JBoss.
