It was a very bad experience, to be very true. The person who was taking the interview did not have the technical insight and was asking ridiculous questions about technology that she did not know (this can be concluded from the questions).

Even she was not interested to look into the camera while asking questions. For the entire duration, she was just looking into the tab and her mobile.

Third, she had such an ego that when I explained that the business scenario she was giving was not valid, her face turned red. Just off the record, she was asking me questions on Kafka. She did not know the difference between a topic and a partition, nor did she know anything about producer and consumer groups.

She was even asking that she had a producer which automatically upscales the topics, which is itself wrong as it is a queue for a certain set of messages.

At the end, she cut me short and said they had to arrange a different interview as she had some other meeting to attend.

In short, there were a lot of invalid questions, and the person (as a courtesy, not mentioning the name) who was the so-called Technical Manager did not know anything about technology and was carrying a lot of ego with her. Probably she is with the organization.

Please do not ask such people to take interviews. It not only wastes the time of the candidate but also degrades the image of the company.
