Pros

The pay at JP Morgan was very good, and the work was fine.

It wasn't bleeding-edge new technology, but it was fine software development work.

Cons

The culture wasn't great. There is a significant amount of corporate games played, which sucks. They also pushed a bit too hard on placing women in various positions. Nothing against women, but please decide based on the best candidate for the job at hand.

Advice to Management

In regards to direct work, it's hard to manage your software devs if you're not technically knowledgeable and working with us. It results in looking at metrics that don't matter much and putting energy into fancy new changes that look cool and sound great but weren't what the application really needed.
