It started just fine. The recruiter welcomed me first, and we had a brief greeting. Then I was informed about the interview's outline, which included technical questions. I found this quite odd, as the person interviewing me had no technical background. I kindly pointed this out but also acknowledged it, and we continued because I didn't know what the questions would be.
The interview quickly became impersonal. The recruiter read company information from text on their computer, thus I found myself waiting for that part to finish. After some general talking, the technical questions began. At that point, it was obvious these questions demanded a technical conversation.
Honestly, I found this insulting to candidates. The questions required a certain level of technical understanding; therefore, it was pointless for someone to just take notes if they couldn't understand the content enough to summarize it effectively. Otherwise, just taking down every word is meaningless.
It was frustrating, and I canceled my application and left the interview.
