We still need to maintain some legacy products that use old technologies and code, which can be messy and hard to trace. We need to be familiar with many products to understand the solutions the company sells to customers, which might take years to master. The support workload is huge, and we need to fix some critical issues within a short timeframe. It is tedious work to support many old versions of the same product.
