Strange interview experience.
The interviewer was apparently not a technical person. 95% of the session was him giving a presentation about Revolut, who they are, etc.
Then, at the end, he started asking 2-3 simple questions. These were probably questions given to him to ask, and he was expecting a word-for-word copy of what was written in front of him as the correct answer. I answered them.
The last question was, "What is CQRS?" I started explaining what it is, also mentioning that I forgot what it stands for but didn't really bother with the abbreviation as I was focused on explaining what it is. However, he interrupted me, saying, "Let me tell you what CQRS is," and started reading what was written in front of him. He apparently wasn't listening to what I had already answered but got stuck on the fact that I didn't remember the abbreviation at that moment.
Then, I was rejected before having a real technical interview.
I strongly doubt he was a technical person, and it was strange for me to have a non-technical person assessing the answer to a technical, open-ended question.
Can you tell me what CQRS is?
