I interviewed for an entry-level role. My experience mirrors another poster's: my interviewer was late to the meeting, completely uninterested, and rolled their eyes while I responded to their questions. Overall, they were an unpleasant person to talk to.
After talking through my prior experience and projects, we did a coding question that involved removing duplicates from a sorted array. It was relatively simple, and I created a solution immediately.
However, the interviewer kept throwing in additional challenges until the answer they were looking for was basically impossible to run in the O(n) time and O(1) space complexity they were looking for. I understand that interviews tend to do this to figure out one's problem-solving skills, but I don't even think my interviewer knew what they were looking for by the end of the session.
In conclusion, a complete waste of time from a disrespectful principal software engineer with a lack of people skills and empathy. I am hesitant to think about how this interviewer's behavior translates into the way Truveta handles and uses sensitive information.
Give an example of when you faced a conflict in one of your previous roles.
