Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - Singapore

Process

The interview process starts with a screen call with the recruiter, talking about your experience, area of expertise, why us, etc.

The next round was a 45-minute pair programming round using HackerRank. The interviewers were very helpful, and you should treat them as if they are your teammate. Basically, communicate your thought process, break down problems, and bounce ideas with them.

Subsequent rounds included a 90-minute technical round. You'll be asked foundational tech questions, talk about your past experiences, and end up with a system design question.

If you passed the technical rounds, there are two additional rounds:

  • Product round with one of the Product Managers, where you'll be assessed for your product-oriented thinking.
  • The last round was a 60-minute round with the team lead plus one of the senior engineers from the team that you'll likely join if you accept the offer. It was more of a behavioral round with a bit more in-depth discussion about the area that you'll be working on.

Overall, the interview process was quite lengthy, but the interviewers are really friendly and supportive. They also shared feedback from the interviewers, which is really great so that you can calibrate and improve yourself.
