Senior Backend Engineer

Ageras, a pioneering fintech firm headquartered in Copenhagen, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Sales & Invoicing team. With approximately 250 employees and backed by Investcorp, Rabo Frontier, and Lugard Road Capital, Ageras aims to revolutionize the financial industry across Europe.

The engineering team consists of 60 talented individuals spread across Copenhagen, Gdansk, Berlin, Helsinki, and Amsterdam. The organization follows a team topology with 9 stream-aligned teams focused on specific business domains, 3 platform teams handling infrastructure and DevOps, and 2 specialized teams for machine learning and data science.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be responsible for running and developing Ageras' invoicing engine. The role requires expertise in Java, TypeScript, and AWS services, with a focus on event-driven architecture and creating scalable REST APIs. You'll work with modern technologies including Spring, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and various AWS services.

The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of backend development experience and be passionate about maintaining high code quality standards.
