Software Development Engineer in Test (QA Automation) - Search Lane

AlphaSense is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their dynamic engineering Search lane. The ideal candidate is a versatile engineer well-versed in both software development and quality assurance practices. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring product quality by embedding quality ownership within the team. Your expertise in automation, cloud services, Kubernetes, and modern programming languages will be instrumental in driving the testing strategy and delivering high-quality software. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify test requirements and contribute to the overall quality strategy and product development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading efforts in troubleshooting complex issues and providing high-level analysis of test results
• Designing, developing, and maintaining quality automation frameworks
• Enabling engineers to ship code reliably and faster
• Continuously improving testing processes, tools, and methodologies
• Performing manual testing as needed
• Analyzing test results and providing actionable feedback
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to best practices
• Enabling developer ownership of quality and test automation
• Collaborating with developers in reviewing unit test and integration results

Requirements include proficiency in programming languages like Java, Kotlin, C#, Python, or JavaScript, expertise in automated testing tools, experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes.
