Data Center Operation Technician (IT Engineer)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Key job responsibilities: • 7x24 roster duty in data center operations • Incident first responder and onsite hands-on support • Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guideline • Maintain proper media operations according to process guideline • Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guideline • Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas • Innovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines
• 1 year experience in server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of network cabling (fiber optic) and operation support experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry experience in Data Center Operations
• Knowledge of data center networking
• Knowledge of cloud computing
• Knowledge of continuous process improvement
• Understanding of data center safety and security environment
