Amazon is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to drive a culture of innovation and Continuous Improvement for the EU Team of Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging (MSP). The role involves providing concise analysis of machine and process performance using statistical and ML-based tools to deep dive into machine metrics. As part of the MSP Continuous Improvement team, you'll leverage strong data extraction skills to drive worldwide reporting deliverables, engineer ad hoc performance analysis, support business planning, and implement process improvement ideas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working in a cross-functional team to deliver on-demand projects and requests
- Creating and optimizing performance dashboards across all MSP product portfolio
- Analyzing trends, formulating projections, and evaluating savings initiatives
- Supporting the development of automated forecast models and methodologies
- Providing fact-based insights into variances and trends
- Presenting findings and recommendations to Senior Leaders
- Identifying and advocating for technical options related to machine learning, data mining, and other statistical approaches
The ideal candidate will focus on customers, be highly analytical and detail-oriented, build credibility quickly, thrive in ambiguous environments, and handle tight deadlines effectively. The role is available in Spain, Italy, Germany, or the UK.
Required qualifications:
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
- Experience using SQL and Python for data processing and modeling
- Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
