Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking highly skilled cloud infrastructure architects to join their Compliance Automation team within AWS Global Services Security (GSS). This role sits at the intersection of cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI/ML, offering an exciting opportunity to shape the future of secure cloud solutions. The position involves collaborating with customers and partners on key engagements, applying deep technical expertise to solve complex challenges, and developing scalable cloud-based solutions.

The role is part of the Compliance Automation team, which focuses on delivering innovative security solutions through code, reducing complexity in compliance operations through automation. The team utilizes broad knowledge across technology domains including security, infrastructure, data/analytics, and AI/ML to enhance security capabilities and drive continuous improvements.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing solutions that help customers streamline their compliance operations. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and tools, including Landing Zone, Control Tower, Security Lake, and various AWS services, while ensuring adherence to the AWS Well-Architected Framework and security best practices.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $118,200 to $204,300 based on location and experience, plus additional benefits. This is a customer-facing role requiring travel to client locations when needed. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, security expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities For Cloud Infrastructure Architect, CSA-Compliance Automation, Global Services Security

  • Architect and develop solutions working backwards from the customer
  • Design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes
  • Solve security and business problems through automation
  • Communicate results and recommendations to business partners
  • Work with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Service Engineering teams
  • Create white papers, write blogs, build demos and other reusable collateral

Requirements For Cloud Infrastructure Architect, CSA-Compliance Automation, Global Services Security

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist
  • Experience facilitating discussions with senior leadership regarding technical/architectural trade-offs
  • Direct hands-on experience deploying Landing Zone, Control Tower, Network and Web Application Firewall
  • Scripting and/or coding skills in Java, Python, CloudFormation, Terraform, Powershell, or Bash
