Description For Cloud Support Engineer-I, GovCloud Support Team (US)

AWS Premium Support is seeking Support Engineers to provide world-class technical support across all AWS offerings. This role combines hands-on technical problem-solving with customer service excellence, working with a diverse range of customers to resolve complex technical issues. Engineers work on a follow-the-sun model, eliminating the need for after-hours on-call duties.

The position offers unique opportunities to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies while developing both technical and leadership skills. Support Engineers may mentor new hires, create training materials, collaborate with development teams, and serve as the voice of the customer for service improvements. The role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of cloud computing concepts.

AWS values diverse experiences and maintains an inclusive team culture through employee-led affinity groups and ongoing learning experiences. The company emphasizes work-life harmony and provides comprehensive career development resources. Compensation includes competitive base pay, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Working at AWS means joining a pioneer in cloud computing that continues to innovate and shape the industry. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, with various shift patterns available (Sunday-Thursday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Monday-Friday). Engineers work primarily through email, phone, and web/live chat channels to resolve customer issues, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques and diving deep into root causes.

This is an excellent opportunity for technically skilled individuals who are passionate about customer service and want to work at the forefront of cloud technology while developing their careers in a supportive, diverse environment.
