Description For Commissioning Engineer

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their Data Center Commissioning Team (ACx) in Dublin, Ireland. This role is crucial for supporting AWS's growing cloud computing infrastructure in the EMEA region. As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll be part of a highly creative and efficient team responsible for ensuring construction quality meets engineering designs and customer requirements.

The position involves working with critical infrastructure systems including high/medium/low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and building management systems. You'll be responsible for leading Factory Witness Testing, performing system testing, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.

This role requires significant technical expertise, with requirements including 5+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities, 3+ years of commissioning experience, and relevant certifications. The position involves 50%+ travel and requires physical capabilities to work in various conditions.

Responsibilities For Commissioning Engineer

  • Support vendors, contractors and teams in construction and commissioning of various systems
  • Provide multi-discipline input into scheduling, test script development, and planning
  • Review component submittal packages
  • Lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT)
  • Perform system level and integrated system testing
  • Audit activities for compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements
  • Comprehensive weekly reporting of project status
  • Coverage of multiple inflight projects

Requirements For Commissioning Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in mission critical facilities or data center infrastructure
  • 3+ years of commissioning experience
  • Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%+)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and edit construction documents
  • Physical ability to walk job sites, work at heights, and carry up to 49 pounds
