Description For Controls Engineer, North Asia, APAC Controls Deployment & Service

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Controls Engineer for their Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team. This role is crucial in maintaining AWS's global infrastructure, specifically focusing on data center building automation systems.

The position involves deploying and supporting critical building automation systems like Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). You'll be responsible for ensuring the health and efficiency of AWS data centers through system deployment, upgrades, and maintenance.

As a Controls Engineer, you'll work with diverse teams across AWS, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, and Data Center Operations. The role requires strong technical expertise in control systems, project management skills, and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.

Key technical requirements include experience with unified automated control systems, understanding of PID loop tuning, and familiarity with industry-standard programming languages. Responsibilities For Controls Engineer, North Asia, APAC Controls Deployment & Service

  • Deploy data center controls with effective vendor management
  • Deliver critical projects to upgrade data center automation
  • Provide service and support to partner teams
  • Resolve tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Deploy and service building automation systems (BMS and EPMS)
  • Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, and other teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors

Requirements For Controls Engineer, North Asia, APAC Controls Deployment & Service

Linux
  • Business level English and intermediate level Japanese
  • Experience building unified automated control system for enterprise level clients
  • Understanding of PID loop tuning, feedback theory, and industry standard programming
  • Ability to understand electrical diagrams, control diagrams, and network schematics
  • Project management experience
  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
