Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for keeping the cloud running across all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you'll be part of Earth's most customer-centric company, working with front-line responders who support some of the world's most powerful data centers. You'll maintain and operate critical infrastructure systems including electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and fire/life safety systems.
The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of mission-critical data center facility equipment. You'll work with standby diesel generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS units, PDUs, wet cell batteries, CRAHU units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and various other mechanical and electrical systems.

As an AWS Infrastructure Services team member, you'll collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts. You'll work on challenging problems involving thousands of variables while helping deliver the highest standards for safety and security. This position requires physical capabilities including lifting, working on ladders, and performing various construction tasks. Shifts can be up to 12 hours and may rotate on a predefined schedule, with some locations having on-call rotations. The role may support multiple locations/sites.
