Description For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician and become part of Earth's most customer-centric company. You'll work with front-line responders supporting operations of world-class data centers, maintaining critical infrastructure systems. As an EOT, you'll handle daily monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, ensuring 24/7 reliability. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of mission-critical equipment including diesel generators, electrical systems, HVAC components, and building automation systems.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. Responsibilities For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

  • Monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
  • Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
  • Perform rack installations and decommissioning
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Technical writing for change management program
  • Monitor and resolve daily work requests
  • Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors

Requirements For Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities

Linux
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 2+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
  • Physical ability to maintain balance, work on ladders, and perform construction tasks
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules
