Description For Data Center Facilities Manager -West London

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Data Center Facility Manager in Amazon Web Services, you will manage the world's largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure in the Berkshire / West London area. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring adherence to and exceeding Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers
  • Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise
  • Maintaining existing operational Amazon Data Centers to the highest level of Availability
  • Helping to build and bring online new Amazon Data Centers
  • Constantly improving processes and procedures
  • Managing relationships with external vendors and contractors
  • Liaising with internal teams and management groups
  • Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of Data Centers
  • Implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management

The role requires an excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical Data Centre Operations, a proven track record of people management and team development, problem-solving skills, and experience working in data centers or another mission-critical environment.
