Data Engineer, eCS Data Engineering and Analytics

Join Amazon's eCommerce Services (eCS) team as a Data Engineer where you'll be at the forefront of managing mission-critical data that powers Amazon's global retail operations. The role focuses on building data engineering solutions that process diverse business and customer data across the full range of eCommerce functionality. You'll be part of a team that handles everything from Privacy and Identity to Purchase Experience, Ordering, Shipping, Tax, and Financial integration.

The eCS Data Engineering and Analytics team is crucial in providing high-quality, timely reports to Amazon business teams, enabling global scale expansion. Your work will directly impact retail customer experience, a key component of Amazon's flywheel. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable ETL processes, working with AWS services like Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, and Lambda, while also utilizing internal BDT tools.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data engineering, particularly in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline construction. You'll need excellent communication skills to collaborate with business analysts and engineers, determining optimal data warehouse designs for reporting and analytics. This role offers the opportunity to work on systems that process hundreds of billions of dollars in annual worldwide revenue while ensuring customer privacy and security.

The position requires at least 3 years of data engineering experience and proficiency in SQL, with preferred experience in AWS technologies and non-relational databases. You'll be working from our Bangalore office, contributing to a team that's essential to Amazon's global eCommerce operations.
