Join AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for keeping the world's largest cloud computing portfolio running. As an Engineering Operations Technician II, you'll be part of the Data Center Engineering Operations team maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems in some of the world's most sophisticated data centers.

You'll work alongside front-line responders, collaborating with diverse teams of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts. Your role involves driving innovation while ensuring operational excellence, performing crucial maintenance tasks, and managing on-site contractors to maintain AWS's renowned 99.999% uptime.

The position offers unique challenges in a dynamic environment where you'll handle everything from rack installations to facility management. Responsibilities For Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engg Ops

  • Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
  • Drive projects with moderate complexity
  • Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
  • Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, operational readings and facility management
  • Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers
  • On-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors
  • Perform maintenance and operations on electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
  • Maintain data center critical infrastructure ensuring 99.999% up-time

Requirements For Engineering Operations Technician, Data Center Engg Ops

Linux
  • Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 2+ years of equivalent experience in relevant industry
  • 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift and move up to 39 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work in shifts up to 12-hours with rotating schedules
  • Physical ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs
