Responsibilities For Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, operational readings and facility management
- Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers
- Manage on-site contractors, sub-contractors and vendors
- Monitor maintenance and operations of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
- Maintain data center critical infrastructure ensuring 99.999% uptime
- Support basic concepts like ticketing systems, root cause analysis, change management
- Work in rotating 12-hour shifts with possible on-call rotations
Requirements For Engineering Operations Technician, DCC Communities
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical experience OR 2+ years of data center experience
- 1+ years of MS Office Suite experience
- Ability to lift up to 39 pounds independently
- Physical capabilities: walking, climbing stairs, working above shoulders
- Ability to work in rotating shifts including 12-hour shifts
