Description For IT Application Engineer, Close Systems

Amazon's Finance Technology team is seeking an Oracle Apps technical consultant to join their world-class operation. This role sits at the intersection of technology and finance, supporting one of the largest and most complex software platforms globally. The position involves leading the support and enhancement of critical financial applications within the e-Business suite, focusing on procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and report-to-report processes.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Oracle Financials, combined with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions. You'll work closely with Amazon's global finance organization, including the CFO's office and business leadership, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to impact financial technology at scale.

Responsibilities For IT Application Engineer, Close Systems

  • Lead support and operation of modules within e-Business suite
  • Interact with business customers to understand and document business processes
  • Perform gap analysis for e-Business suite's system configuration
  • Design and implement system modifications
  • Create SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting
  • Work with business customers, developers and Oracle Support to resolve system issues
  • Support procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and report-to-report business processes

Requirements For IT Application Engineer, Close Systems

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science Engineering or related field
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite in multi-organization environment
  • Five years experience working with Oracle Financials
  • Strong technical knowledge of underlying tables, integration points and technology processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
