AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS, customers, and other business units across multiple global datacenters.
The position focuses on datacenter network services, providing unconstrained connectivity to AWS services like EC2, EBS, S3, and Amazon CDO Services. You'll be responsible for the networks' internal connection to datacenters end-to-end, including scaling and operational functions for both traditional datacenters and newer AWS offerings such as Outposts and Local Zones.
As a Network Development Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge network and Unix systems engineering to deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions. You'll play a key role in driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks. The role requires expertise in TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, and network security architecture.
AWS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, financial benefits, and emphasis on work-life harmony. The company values diverse experiences and provides ongoing learning opportunities through employee-led affinity groups and mentorship programs.
The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and occasional travel to data center/network sites. You'll be working with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, collaborating across AWS to maintain the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about large-scale network infrastructure who wants to make a significant impact on AWS's global network architecture. The role offers competitive compensation, ranging from $102,700 to $185,000 per year based on location and experience, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on payments.
