Description For Operations Engineer, MHE Engineering AMZL

Amazon's Material Handling Engineering (MHE) team is seeking a talented Operations Engineer to join their AMZL network. This role focuses on enhancing operational performance through mechanical solutions for conveyance systems across delivery stations in North America.

As an Operations Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing Amazon's vast delivery network. You'll work directly with vendors on conveyance system designs and implementations, driving projects that make significant impacts at Amazon's unprecedented scale. The position combines technical expertise with project management, requiring both mechanical engineering knowledge and strong stakeholder management skills.

The role sits within the AMZL MHE team, which is responsible for the design and implementation of conveyance systems in delivery stations across North America. You'll be part of a team that owns vendor design specifications, conducts drawing reviews, manages pre/post installation processes, and leads network-wide improvement initiatives.

Your typical day will involve creating mechanical solutions that drive operational improvements in a large delivery station network. You'll engage with vendors supplying conveyance systems, manage deployment and improvement projects, while building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders.
