Description For Project Engineer, NA Field Engineering

Amazon is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join their Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NA) Engineering team within the Last Mile organization. This role represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of package delivery, working at the intersection of logistics, automation, and engineering.

The position involves leading the design, management, and execution of next-generation delivery station processes, equipment, and operations. As a Project Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that enhance the intelligence and efficiency of Amazon's last mile delivery operations.

The role requires a strong background in engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in project or process engineering. You'll be responsible for driving complex cross-team programs, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working with various stakeholders including vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key aspects of the role include creating scalable solutions to complex engineering problems, developing and managing budgets, and ensuring project delivery meets Amazon's high-quality standards. You'll also be involved in technical solution development, encompassing advanced technology applications, conveyor hardware selection, and material handling integration.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $68,900 to $126,400 based on location, plus comprehensive benefits including medical coverage and financial benefits.   • Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management
  • Drive programs to deliver goals on time and exceeding quality bar
  • Lead initiatives and complex cross-functional projects in ambiguous problem spaces

Requirements For Project Engineer, NA Field Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related occupation
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing and responsible for large material handling or automation projects
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects
  • Experience implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
