The role requires a strong background in engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in project or process engineering. Key aspects of the role include creating scalable solutions to complex engineering problems, developing and managing budgets, and ensuring project delivery meets Amazon's high-quality standards. You'll also be involved in technical solution development, encompassing advanced technology applications, conveyor hardware selection, and material handling integration.

- Drive complex cross team programs at various stages of lifecycle
- Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management
- Drive programs to deliver goals on time and exceeding quality bar
- Lead initiatives and complex cross-functional projects in ambiguous problem spaces
- Participate in the full system development life cycle
- Manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing business partners
- Deep dive technical solutions for advanced technology applications
- Work closely with vendors and suppliers for innovative solutions
- Define projects scope, delivery, and budget
- Develop and manage budget and contract documents
Requirements For Project Engineer, NA Field Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another STEM field
- 5+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related occupation
- 5+ years of experience directly managing and responsible for large material handling or automation projects
- Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects
- Experience implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
