Description For Security Engineer, GuardDuty Security Analytics and AI Research

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Security Engineers to join their Security Analytics and AI Research group within AWS Security Services. This role focuses on developing and researching core data mining and machine learning algorithms for Amazon GuardDuty, a critical security service. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on never-before-solved problems in cloud security, specifically detecting compromised instances and potential attacks.

The role is part of the AWS Security Services team, which builds technologies to help customers strengthen their security posture in the AWS Cloud. Responsibilities For Security Engineer, GuardDuty Security Analytics and AI Research

  • Evaluate threat intelligence feeds including determining their accuracy and how to leverage these for customers
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to research and develop innovative ML/AI solutions for challenging cybersecurity problems
  • Analyze the output of ML/AI models for accuracy, customer impact, and interpretability
  • Rapidly design and conduct large scale experiments in a high-ambiguity environment
