Job Description

AWS Game-Based Learning Products is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their innovative team focused on creating engaging game-based learning solutions. This role combines software engineering with game development to build educational experiences that help customers develop practical AWS skills.

The position involves working with a diverse team including architects, artists, designers, and engineers to develop cloud-based gaming platforms that deliver interactive learning experiences. You'll be responsible for building backend services, collaborating on Unity3D game development, and creating compelling end-to-end gaming experiences that achieve educational objectives.

The team develops products like AWS Cloud Quest, AWS Industry Quest, and other game-based learning solutions that use hands-on labs, virtual environments, and interactive simulations. You'll contribute to multiple games and features while working with other AWS learning products teams.

As part of AWS Global Services, you'll join a worldwide team of technical experts helping customers succeed with cloud technology. Requirements For Software Dev Engineer, Game-Based Learning

Java
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
  • Experience with full software development life cycle
  • Experience in Games Industry (preferred)
