Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Sports

We're seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to help shape the next generation of how Amazon customers watch movies, TV shows, and live sports events. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be part of building a Prime Video Sports tech team in Israel from the ground up. Your focus will be on developing products that personalize the customer experience and provide real-time insights using Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML). This is a greenfield opportunity to work on cutting-edge, large-scale engineering and science projects.

Key responsibilities include: • Owning architecture and feature development for Personalization and CV/ML teams • Partnering with other engineers to ideate, design, and build scalable solutions • Utilizing data science and ML to develop products that deliver great experiences for customers • Tackling complex technical challenges across the stack - from data pipelines to large-scale services

You'll be part of a team that's expanding the breadth and depth of live content offerings, including major leagues like NFL Thursday Night Football, Tennis majors like Roland-Garros, and the English Premier League. This is a transformative opportunity to be at the vanguard of a program that will revolutionize Prime Video and the live streaming experience for customers worldwide.

The ideal candidate should have experience in professional software development, contributing to architecture and design of systems, and programming with modern languages like Java, C++, or C#. An interest or experience in Computer Vision and/or Recommendation Systems is preferred, as well as experience working with applied science teams and deploying ML models at scale. The role requires a strong bias for action and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
