Sr. Energy Strategy Manager - AWS AMER NW, AWS AMER Infra Energy Team West

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're seeking a self-starter to join the AWS Energy team within AWS Infrastructure Services to pioneer the future of data center utility power. This role involves developing and executing the strategy for delivering energy projects and partnering with electric utilities and energy companies across the Americas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and execution of a comprehensive utilities strategy for AWS data centers in AMER regions.
• Managing multiple Utilities, EPC, and Owner's Engineers to deliver MV and HV power infrastructure.
• Developing and executing energy strategies to reduce long-term energy costs.
• Collaborating with the Amazon CFE/RE team to support strategic energy sourcing opportunities.
• Executing electricity supply contracts that create new clean energy capacity on the grid.
• Managing a portfolio of complex energy projects.
• Identifying and developing innovative cost-saving projects related to energy infrastructure and supply.
• Working with utility regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong energy background, experience working with regulated electric utilities, and a proven track record of developing and delivering innovative energy projects. They should be able to think strategically about business, operations, and technical challenges while driving tactical execution of project schedules, contracts, and team goals.
