Last Mile Field Engineering is searching for an Operations Engineer with controls engineering experience to lead automation and material handling equipment (MHE) continuous improvement initiatives. We're looking to add high-impact engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to identify cost-effective solutions for our delivery stations. You will reconcile site layout drawings for existing retrofit projects and new launch initiatives.
You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. Ability to travel up to 40% to interact with internal and external business, operational and technical leaders.
Key job responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate design efforts to develop optimal automation/MHE equipment design solutions for the last mile network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations. • Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors and stakeholders to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time. • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. • Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects, retrofits and building designs • Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions to make a compelling business case with senior executives.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $126,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
