Description For Procurement Engineer

Asso.subsea is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join their Supply & Logistics team in Eleusis, Attica, Greece. This full-time, on-site position (job code: GR-SLPP-24) is crucial for supporting the Project Supplies Team.

The Procurement Engineer will perform technical duties related to subcontracting services for offshore projects, adhering to company policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include researching, evaluating, and purchasing services based on price, service, quality, and warranty. The role involves managing the bidding process, analyzing results, making recommendations, and processing purchase orders.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Execute the material procurement process in line with Asso Group's policies and ethical standards.
  2. Manage RFQs, vendor offers, and technical evaluations.
  3. Conduct cost and quality comparisons and analysis.
  4. Create and manage purchase orders with supporting documentation.
  5. Develop and maintain a strong vendor base, including evaluating and monitoring vendor performance.
  6. Participate in commercial negotiations and bid pricing processes.
  7. Handle PO administration and close-outs.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in similar positions
  • Advanced training in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field
  • Experience with technical contracts and subcontracting services
  • Proficiency in modern procurement and purchasing techniques
  • Experience in purchasing bespoke, manufactured parts
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
