Barbaricum, a leading government contractor established in 2008, is seeking a System Engineer III to join their team supporting the Program Executive Office Soldier. The role focuses on engineering, building, testing, and deploying innovative cloud service offerings. With headquarters in Washington DC's Dupont Circle and presence in Tampa, Bedford, and Dayton, Barbaricum specializes in Defense and National Security missions.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience who will serve as a key technical expert in systems engineering. The role involves managing complex engineering activities, from requirements analysis to system deployment, with a particular focus on Department of Army/DOD Acquisition processes. Responsibilities For System Engineer III

  • Manages systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, and design solutions
  • Applies system engineering principles to translate requirements into system performance parameters
  • Formulates systems engineering documents, processes, procedures and milestones
  • Performs top level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Translates military operational requirements into practical system concepts
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation
  • Participates in program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs
  • Reviews test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy
  • Evaluates system performance against specification requirements
  • Initiates engineering change proposals and conducts configuration audits
