Job Description

As an Android Engineer, you'll join a small, elite team focused on mobile products, utilizing Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to build delightful user experiences. This role offers deep ownership across the entire Android product, working alongside product, design, and data colleagues. You'll be instrumental in bringing new features from conception to completion, impacting how people learn worldwide. The focus will be on balancing technical perspectives with business needs to ensure the team builds the right thing in the right way.

Responsibilities
- Bring new features from conception to completion
- Contribute code on Android and iOS
- Be mindful of the “big picture” from a technical perspective and a business one
- Exercise a high degree of autonomy and technical authority
- Contribute to a culture of excellence
- Advocate for initiatives that will improve developer experience for Brilliant's engineers and user experience for Brilliant's learners
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering
- Motivated by solving users’ problems
- Enjoy solving technical challenges in a simple way
- Excited to collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers
- Deep experience with a few languages and frameworks
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and patterns
- Articulate perspective on what makes using product delightful
- Tinker with AI tools and workflows
