Responsibilities For Hardware Engineer Board Products
- Design schematics including digital logic, power, clocking, PSOC, memory, IO, visual indicators, and connectors
- Coordinate system level design and simulation including thermal and mechanical elements
- Oversee PCB layout including specifications, impedance calculations and stack up
- Perform signal integrity simulation for functional interfaces and power
- Develop automation scripts in Python
- Build and test fixtures including instrumenting with data acquisition systems
- Perform unit and system testing of prototype designs
- Provide post production product support
Requirements For Hardware Engineer Board Products
- BSc. and minimum 5 years of experience in computer related job role OR MSc. in Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years experience
- Mastery of Cadence Design and Layout Tool Suite
- Experience with simulation tools: HyperLynx 8.0, Ansoft SIWave, Ansys HFSS, ADS, Sigrity, Polar
- Strong working knowledge of PCIe Express, Ethernet, and Fibre Channel
- Experience with Windows/Linux servers, scopes, traffic generators, environmental chambers, ESD guns, VNA, TDR
- Proficiency in Python scripting
