Broadcom, a global technology leader in semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, is seeking a Senior IC Design Engineer for their Bangalore office. This role focuses on physical design activities for both block and SoC level implementations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in floor-planning, partitioning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and physical verification.
The position requires expertise with industry-standard tools like Innovus/Encounter, ICC, Caliber, LEC, and Primetime, with a preference for experience in advanced technology nodes (5nm/7nm/16nm). You'll be responsible for ensuring designs meet critical metrics in congestion, timing, and area, while performing various analyses including STA, crosstalk delay, and noise analysis.
As a senior member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work independently while guiding other team members, applying Broadcom's proven design methodology to achieve right-first-time silicon. The role demands excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, as you'll be working in a global team environment.

Responsibilities For IC Design Engineer
- Physical design activities at block and SoC level
- Floor-planning, partitioning, placement, clock tree synthesis
- Route, physical verification and signoff checks closure
- Congestion resolution and timing closure
- Meet congestion, timing and area metrics of design
- Perform equivalence checks, STA, Crosstalk delay analysis
- Implement timing and functional ECOs
- Apply Broadcom's design methodology and milestone flow
Requirements For IC Design Engineer
- Experience with tools such as Innovus/Encounter, ICC, Caliber, LEC, Primetime
- Experience in 5nm/7nm/16nm technologies preferred
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and guide team members
- Experience working in a global team and dynamic environment
