Description For Electrical Application Engineer

This position supports the review, analysis, and interpretation of electrical schematics and specifications for critical facilities. The Electrical Schematic Engineer will support the ingestion of Client Schematics and electrical one-line drawings, implementation of electrical infrastructure into a digital twin, and quality control to validate accuracy of the digital twin.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of ingestion and interpretation of client schematics / electrical one-line drawings
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in digital twin technology
  • Performing beta testing and validation of software updates
  • Providing input on the efficacy and ease-of-use of the digital twin technology
  • Developing reports and attending stakeholder meetings
  • QA/QC of digital twin accuracy
  • Traveling throughout the APAC zone (about 25% of the time) to deploy and train on the software

Responsibilities For Electrical Application Engineer

  • Support ingestion and interpretation of client schematics and electrical one-line drawings
  • Implement electrical infrastructure systems into a digital twin
  • Perform QA/QC of all digital twin datasets
  • Become a subject matter expert in digital twin technology
  • Perform beta testing and validation of software updates
  • Provide input on the efficacy and ease-of-use of digital twin technology
  • Develop reports for the implementation team
  • Participate in regular stakeholder meetings
  • Provide documentation for digital twin evaluation and validation
  • Travel throughout the APAC zone (25% of work tenure) to deploy and train on the software

Requirements For Electrical Application Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 - 10 years management experience in a similar field
  • Experience as a trainer, player, or coach in the role
  • 5+ years' experience leading and building a technology and support organization
  • Deadline driven
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service DNA
  • Technical expertise in engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of data center design concepts
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical Distribution Switchgear, Substations, UPS, ATS, Batteries, Emergency Diesel Generators & Load Banks
  • Knowledge of Lockout Tagout procedures and best practices
  • Strong experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively write daily reports
  • Capability to support multiple time zones for a global organization and client base
