Description For QA Engineer

Capital on Tap, founded with the mission to help small business owners, provides an all-in-one business credit card & spend management platform. We serve over 200,000 businesses globally and aim to help 1 million small businesses by 2030.

We're seeking a QA Engineer to join our team in a remote, B2B contract position from Poland. You'll be responsible for both manual and automated testing, contributing to best practices throughout the SDLC. Working closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers, you'll provide governance and oversight of product quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing automated test scenarios in an agile team
  • Driving continuous improvement in test processes
  • Investigating user problems and managing bug reports
  • Supporting engineering colleagues in team-wide testing
  • Managing risks and issues with timely stakeholder escalation
  • Reviewing and improving design proposals and processes

We're looking for candidates with:

  • QA experience on Web/Mobile applications
  • Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch
  • Expertise in various testing types (Functional, Regression, Manual, Automated, Performance, Ad-Hoc)
  • Coding experience in JavaScript/Typescript or C#
  • Experience with testing tools like Cypress, Selenium Webdriver, RestSharp, PostMan, Appium
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and continuous testing practices

Responsibilities For QA Engineer

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of automated test scenarios working as part of an agile team
  • Drive continuous improvement, recommending and implementing enhancements to test processes and procedures
  • Investigating user problems, testing bugs, and creating and managing bug reports
  • Support engineering colleagues so that testing is a team-wide responsibility
  • Manage risks and issues effectively with timely escalation to the project stakeholders
  • Review design proposals, acceptance criteria, and processes, and recommend improvements
