Cisco's AI Software & Platform team is seeking a Technical Lead, Backend Engineer to join their AI Assistants Team. This role is crucial in delivering AI products and platforms for Cisco Secure products, focusing on integrating AI services for Generative AI Assistant products. Responsibilities For Technical Lead, Backend Engineering
- Provide technical leadership to guide designs and implementations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design complex systems with ML and non-ML services
- Design and build effective interfaces between AI services
- Implement instrumentation to monitor service performance
- Debug integration issues and optimize service interactions
- Develop documentation for integration processes
- Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and security experts
- Ensure integrated AI services meet security and compliance standards
Requirements For Technical Lead, Backend Engineering
- 8+ years experience as a Backend Engineer with expertise in integrating complex services
- 8+ years experience writing code in Python, Java, or Go
- BA / BS degree with 10+ years of experience (or) MS degree with 8+ years of experience as a software development engineer
- Experience in AI service operations, including Generative AI (preferred)
- Understanding of GenAI frameworks and orchestrators (preferred)
- Foundation in data structures and algorithms (preferred)
- Experience with instrumentation and monitoring tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of compliance standards (preferred)
