Description For Senior Engineer Electrical - Cement Industry

Dangote Group is seeking a Senior Engineer Electrical for their cement industry operations. This role is based in Gboko, Benue, Nigeria, and is a full-time, on-site position within the DCP - Operations department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring equipment availability in allotted sections of the plant through proper preventive and predictive maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Following top management instructions and executing jobs accordingly
  • Implementing a 52-week preventive maintenance planner
  • Executing condition monitoring plans and greasing schedules
  • Solving day-to-day problems in plant operations
  • Conducting stoppage analysis for equipment breakdowns
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
  • Overseeing technical staff and providing expertise
  • Enforcing accident prevention and occupational health procedures

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or HND degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 9 years post-qualification experience. They should possess extensive knowledge of electrical engineering, cement manufacturing processes, and safety legislation. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements For Senior Engineer Electrical - Cement Industry

  • Bachelor's / HND degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of Nine (9) years of post-qualification experience
  • Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering
  • Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
  • Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and TPM
  • Good oral and written communication skills
