Datamaran, a fast-paced, energetic, and high-growth technology company, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their cross-functional product team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in Test Automation technologies and play a significant role in shaping the user experience of their web applications.
The role involves automating tests, enhancing the existing E2E Test framework, and working closely with developers in the Scrum team to test new features both manually and through automation. The Senior QA Engineer will also develop performance tests for scalable applications and mentor testers on best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Automating tests and enhancing the existing Datamaran E2E Test framework
- Collaborating on the design and architecture of the automation framework
- Developing performance tests for scalable applications
- Mentoring testers on Test Automation best practices
- Contributing to product discovery phases
- Reviewing product specifications and writing test cases
The tech stack includes Playwright for automation, JavaScript, Node.js, Vue.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elastic search, Python, and FastAPI. Everything is hosted on AWS.
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of professional QA experience with a focus on JavaScript and Playwright
- Experience with cross-browser testing and automation framework development
- Proficiency with Git and API testing tools like Postman or Jmeter
- Strong communication skills in English
- Leadership experience in distributed teams
- Experience in agile environments

Responsibilities For Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
- Automate tests and enhance the existing Datamaran E2E Test framework
- Work closely with developers in the Scrum team to test new features manually and automate the tests
- Develop performance tests for scalable applications
- Mentor testers on Test Automation best practices and industry-standard engineering practices
- Build and Automate test cases - Collaborate on the design and architecture of the automation framework
- Stay informed of the latest industry standards and technologies, actively applying these to improve our products
- Contribute to product discovery phases, and bring invaluable insights regarding user needs and potential solutions
- Review product specifications and write test cases, develop test plans for assigned areas in the Engineering team for Product features
Requirements For Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
- Over 5 years of professional QA experience across several projects, focusing on JavaScript and Playwright
- Understanding of cross-browser testing
- Experience building and contributing to an automation framework development
- Experience with source control systems like Git
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Leadership experience, including the capacity to inspire and motivate team members in a distributed team
- Prior experience working in an agile environment with empowered teams
- Experience in API testing using Postman or any other tool like Jmeter
