Responsibilities For Design Engineer II - Exterior Plastics
- Lead and support engineering activities for large scale automotive development programs
- Investigate feasibility, perform design using CATIA V5/V6, conduct layout review, drawing creation
- Negotiate with surrounding component business units
- Focus on plastic exterior body components
- Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
Requirements For Design Engineer II - Exterior Plastics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive preferred)
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Experience in design and development of Automotive Exterior Plastics (Bumper, Fascia, Grille, etc.)
- 3+ years of CATIA V5 experience (CATIA V6/3DX experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) for injection molding plastic parts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS office
