Research Engineer, Product Impact

At Google DeepMind, we're seeking a Research Engineer for our Product Impact team in Tel Aviv, Israel. This role involves applying advanced machine learning algorithms to improve Alphabet products and services. You'll work on high-impact real-world problems, rapid-prototyping concepts, and running experiments to evaluate opportunities. The position offers a chance to see your work make a difference, with potential partnerships with research scientists and close mentorship from Product Impact leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

• Applying promising models and research to real-world problems
• Designing and running experiments
• Collaborating with teams across Google DeepMind, Google Research, Android, and Pixel
• Working on projects that may include the most impactful Gemini experiences at Google

We're looking for candidates with:

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in computer science, mathematics, applied stats, machine learning, or similar industry experience
• Strong knowledge of Python or C++
• Experience with machine learning, statistics, and algorithm design
• Familiarity with TensorFlow or similar ML frameworks
• Software engineering experience, especially on large-scale ML projects
• Passion for AI and excellent communication skills
