Google Cloud is seeking a High Performance Computing (HPC) Customer Engineer to join their team. This role involves partnering with technical Sales teams as a subject matter expert in HPC to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. The ideal candidate will help prospective and existing customers understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot technical questions and roadblocks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and qualifying business opportunities
- Recommending migration paths and integration strategies
- Leading workshops for strategic customers
- Developing architectural blueprints for infrastructure and HPC migration
The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role, and expertise in High Performance Computing. Experience with manufacturing ISVs such as Siemens, Altair, Dassault Software, and Ansys is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in architecting scalable, high-performance distributed systems, IT infrastructure consulting, technical sales engineering in HPC environments, and lab creations and automation scripts.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer III, High Performance Computing, Manufacturing, Cloud
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
- Recommend and document migration paths, integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud
- Assist Infrastructure Solutions Management teams, contributing to solution and use case assets
- Lead workshops for strategic customers to assess existing application/infrastructure environments and organizational readiness
- Develop architectural blueprints to enable infrastructure, high performance computing, and mainframe migration opportunities, coordinating with Product and Specialist teams
