Description For Data Center Operations Facilities Manager

Google is seeking a Data Center Operations Facilities Manager to lead their 24/7 data center operations team. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure. The position requires managing service-level agreements (SLAs), developing efficiency strategies, and ensuring environmental and safety standards.

The role is integral to Google's Technical Infrastructure team, which builds and maintains the architecture supporting all of Google's products. You'll be responsible for leading a team that ensures optimal data center performance, managing emergency situations, and implementing improvements to reduce operational costs while enhancing efficiency.

As a Facilities Manager, you'll work in a collaborative environment where innovation is encouraged, and excellence is the standard. Requirements For Data Center Operations Facilities Manager

  • Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in operations, data center, or facility operations experience
  • 2 years of experience in critical facilities management, including facility, technical, and team management
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
